Volunteers are needed to work with teachers/student classes.

Volunteers are needed that are dedicated to teaching those that work with the children.

During the summer workdays are scheduled to maintain the gardens.

Call for workdays & times, you will need to be checked in at the school front desk and escorted to the gardens.

New area being developed for outdoor teaching.  Every plant container is placed under a teacher’s

classroom window.

Even the art teachers are pitching in.

La Vernia Primary is for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades.

The GCMGs and teachers share garden knowledge with children in a fun way

using the Junior Master Gardener Program that is

coordinated with the principal and teachers.  The school

library is involved in providing resources and the Master

Gardeners meet regularly with the PTA.
